This dress is from Gilbert Adrian, a famous costume designer from the 30s. This dress dates back to 1932, and was worn by Joan Crawford in the movie "Letty Lynton". The hat pictured above is from Marlene Dietrich's movie "Angel" and it was designed by Travis Banton.
